Search Engine OptimisationCan people find your website on Google and Bing – for the searches that matter?
Website audits for small businesses, online shops & sole traders · DACH
I look at your website the way search engines and AI assistants do. You’ll receive a clear, easy-to-follow report and know exactly what to tackle first.
Think of it as a health check for your website. I check whether search engines and AI assistants can find your pages, make sense of them and see you as a source worth trusting – and where you’re missing out on visibility.
Why it’s about more than classic SEO these days: Google and ChatGPT now answer a lot of questions on the spot. A Pew Research study (US, July 2025) found that people clicked through to a website on just 8% of searches that showed an AI summary, compared with 15% when there wasn’t one. If you’re not in those answers, fewer people see you.
Can people find your website on Google and Bing – for the searches that matter?
Do ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews mention your business when people ask?
Does your content give clear, quotable answers that end up in snippets or voice search?
Eight areas that shape how visible you are. I adjust the focus to suit your site – product pages for online shops, say, or local search for service businesses.
Can search engines reach and index all your important pages?
How quickly does your site load, and how easy is it to use on a phone?
Do your pages answer the questions your customers are actually asking?
Can visitors and crawlers find their way around easily?
Can machines tell who you are, what you offer and what it costs?
Are AI tools allowed to read your content – and can they actually get to it?
Is it clear who’s behind the business and why people should trust you?
Are your Google Business Profile, address and reviews up to date when customers search locally?

The audit is a great fit if you:
I’m a marketing consultant with more than 15 years’ experience, both in-house and agency side. SEO, analytics and performance marketing have been part of my day-to-day work for years.
So I don’t just spot what’s technically broken – I can tell you what’s actually worth doing for your business.

Not 200 things at once, but a clear order: what brings the greatest benefit for the least effort?
I won’t promise rankings. I’ll show you what’s missing, what’s realistic and what you can safely skip.
SEO is about being found in search engines like Google and Bing. GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) is about getting AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google’s AI Overviews to mention your business in their answers. AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) shapes your content so it gets picked up as a direct answer – in featured snippets or by voice assistants, for example.
Your website address is enough to get started. The audit gets a lot more useful with read access to Google Search Console and, if you have it, Google Analytics. It also helps to know your key products or services and two or three competitors.
You’ll get the report within a week of me receiving all the access I need. Then we go through it together.
It mainly depends on the size of your website – an online shop with hundreds of product pages takes longer than a ten-page site. We’ll work out the scope in a free intro call, and then you’ll get a tailored quote.
The audit is written so that you or your agency can action it yourselves. If you’d like support, I’m happy to help with implementation at an hourly rate.
Yes. I look at your site the way search engines and AI crawlers do, so it doesn’t matter whether it’s built on WordPress, Shopify, Shopware, Wix, Webflow or something custom. My recommendations take your platform into account.
Automated checkers produce long lists without showing what actually matters. I go through the tool results myself, put them in the context of your business and rank them by impact and effort. Things like content quality, search intent and AI visibility can’t be judged by a tool anyway.
No. Nobody can guarantee Google rankings or mentions in AI answers. What the audit does is show you what’s missing and what will genuinely improve your chances.
